New iProScout Baseball iPhone/iPad App

iPad LoginGet a sneak peak at the New iProScout Baseball iPhone/iPad App now with Team Sheet capability attached to the original iProScout Baseball App! It provides another great Scouting option for users that want to use the App on their iPhone or iPad! Only Days Away!!!

One Scout said: “This is coming at a perfect time with all the college Scout Days coming up! I can put in a teams roster information before I leave my home and be locked and loaded for the Scout Days! Nothing like the feeling of having your Scout work 50% to 100% done before I leave the yard! I mean all I do is put in the information on one page and the iProScout Baseball App does the rest! It calculates the OFP and puts it in a report format that I can easily e-mail to myself so I can copy and paste the report information into my teams scouting database or I can e-mail it to anyone else that needs to see the report.”

iPad Team SheetIt is also great for College coaches who spend many hours recruiting. It’s a valuable tool that keeps getting better!

Scout Team Coaches!!! You have lots of players trying out for teams in various age groups in your organization, the iProScout Baseball App can help you keep track of all the information in one place at tryouts. You can even e-mail a player with an evaluation. It’s another thing of value organizations can provide their players or players trying out. Time is money! Coaches, just think how easy it will be for you, once you have done the player evaluation, to email it to college coaches interested in your evaluation of the player. Or email it to your player so he can keep track of areas for improvement. Look how tech forward your organization will look!

It’s also a great learning tool for those who are trying to get into professional scouting, as well as anyone within the professional baseball scouting field! Bloggers etc.

iPad Pitcher InformationIt’s so easy to use and the larger screen and keyboard are awesome on the iPad! The Team Sheet format allows you to easily, on the same page, add player info, scroll up and down or side to side, sort alphabetically or by OFP and recalculate. And if there is a player or players from the team you want to do a full report on all you do is select the Report button on the right of the player and bingo!

One important reminder!!!!
If you are going from using the iProScout Baseball App on your iPhone and are switching to use the iProScout Baseball App on your iPad, go to the data page button and press the “Send Data” button. This will save all your data and once you switch over to the ipad you can go to the data page button on your iPad and press the “Get Data” button and it will download all the same player information to the iPad. It is always a good practice to “Send Data” after your work for the day or switching in between your iPhone and iPad.

New iProScout Baseball Features Are Coming in August 2012

Friday July 13, 2012

We are proud to announce that iProScout Baseball is working on some awesome new features that will be released in August 2012.

App Features:

– The original iPhone App is being converted to a Universal iPhone/iPad App.  This means that when you install the app on your iPad you will be able to take advantage of native iPad layouts and functionality.

– We’re adding a Team Sheet scouting feature.  The team sheet will allow users to view and edit a whole team roster and player details on one easy to read screen.  It’s perfect for scout days.  The native iPad team sheet view will make it easier to scroll through a whole team roster holding the iPad in the landscape position.- We’re working on a feature that will allow subscribers to download complete team rosters.

Website Features:

– We’re adding tools that allow subscribers to input data from home through a web browser on their laptop or PC.  These features will allow users to be “locked and loaded” before they enter the park.  This will allow users to update app data before they leave from home or hotel or wherever they may be.

– We’re creating tools that allow subscribers to manage players, teams, team sheets, scouting and reports.

– We’re working on tools that will allow subscribers to import team rosters without having to enter basic team information.

– We’re working on creating an online database of current team rosters that subscribers can import into their player database.

– We’re working on creating tools that will allow for easy copy and paste capabilities from team/school website roster info to the website input fields. These features save time and typing.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcomed.   This information makes iProScout Baseball the best time saving tool at the field.

Giants Scout Creates iPhone App

Baseball America MagazineLast month (March 2012) Baseball America writer Conor Glassey published a news article about the iProScout Baseball iPhone App on the Baseball America website.  Click Here to Read More.

The article may also be found in the Latest Issue of Baseball America Magazine.

An Excerpt:

The app allows scouts to enter biographical information on a player and, as soon as the scout chooses a position for the player, the app prompts the scout to fill out the player’s evaluation card.

For position players, the scout is able to grade out each of the player’s five tools and has fields to choose from descriptive words for several other categories like stance, stroke, power frequency, baserunning instincts, fielding range and more. For pitchers, scouts are able to grade each pitch and control. They also have options to choose from for several categories, some of which include feel for pitching, poise, mound emotions, aggressiveness, arm actions and delivery.

The app automatically calculates the players OFP (with an option for manual adjustments) and gives the scout the option to sort all his players by either name, position or OFP.
